Message from the Competitions Department at the Football Federation of Victoria.

This year ANZAC Day falls on a Sunday. Therefore a number of sporting fixtures across the State will be affected and must comply with the Anzac Day Act 1958.

We have applied for and received approval from the Minister for Sport, Recreation and Youth Affairs to play your matches on Anzac Day. Approval has been granted and encouraged on the basis that an appropriate acknowledgement takes place before matches are played. This acknowledgement will be in for the form of 1 minute silence before the kick off all matches played on Sunday 25th April 2010.

As indicated at the Club Information Sessions, earlier in the year, all matches that are scheduled to be played on Sunday 25th April 2010, will proceed as scheduled.

All teams playing on ANZAC DAY should observe and honour our fallen ANZACs.
