Help! We need donations for the silent auction. Anything that will help us raise money to meet our 2013 fundraising budget is what we’re after.

Retail donations have been very successful in the past: bottles of wine, beauty products, hardware tools, sports gear and the like. If you know anyone who can donate anything like this please do your best to organise a donation to support our large club (5th largest soccer club in VIC).

Donations can be dropped off any Sunday leading up to the Trivia Night on 15th June.

What’s happening exactly?

Only our major 2013 fundraiser, that’s all. A club Trivia Night will be held June 15th, 7.30pm kick-off in the community hall located behind the club.

BYO plate for your table and drinks are available at the bar (not licensed to BYO alcohol).

We have some great prizes, games, an amazing raffle prize and silent auction items.

The quiz is being run by two seniors team players and their partners, Daniel Oehme (four times B&F and club life-member) and Lori with Pinky and Rach, and will consist of multimedia trivia questions, traditional type questions and we have a karaoke machine as well to kick on later, right up to close at midnight.

WANTED! U9-U11 girls

The women kick-off at home this Friday night! The State League 2 North West girls play at 8.30pm and the reserves (SL3 North) start at 6.30pm.

Any junior or sub-junior girl that comes down wearing their Redbacks jersey will be given a free sausage and soft-drink and have the privelage of escorting the senior players onto the pitch for either the firsts or reserves game – whichever you show up for!

So get down and support our women and grab your freebies.

FIFA Law 4 ammendment – Players’ equipment (regarding taping socks)

Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has amended Law 4 – The Players’ Equipment for 2013 onwards. The amendment relates to the application of tape and or similar material to the players’ socks and is as follows:

stockings – if tape or similar material is applied externally it must be the same colour as that part of the stocking it is applied to

Match Officials are obligated under the FIFA Laws of the Game to enforce the above Law. If the Law is not adhered to, the Match Official will:

not allow the offending player to take the field of play; or remove the player from the field of play until the tape is removed or replaced to the satisfaction of the Match Official

6.15pm – 7.00pm all U12 U13 & U14 boys & girls 9 teams

7.30pm – 7.40pm Senior Women 1sts & Reserves 2 teams

There is an awesome raffle that you want to be a part of. The prize? Just a lazy refund on your season registration! You can get a ticket by buying a food item from the BBQ or by volunteering to help out on the BBQ (we need some people to do a short stint each – please make yourself known to the canteen). The prize will be drawn at 7.45pm during the half-time break of the seniors match vs. Yarra Jets FC.

Spiderlings (U3 & U4) – a few places remain

Saturday SSG (U5 to U7) – all full except 2 places for U7 boys & 2 places for U7 girls

Small Sided Football (U8 to U11)

Boys – Places remain in U9 & U11

Girls – All Full (U8 to U11)

Juniors (U12 to U18)

Boys – Places remain in U12, U16 and U18

Girls – All Full (U12 & U13/14)

At this stage of the season it best to make contact with the boys/girls coordinator (see contacts section) to confirm if places remain.

Pre-Season Training for Juniors & Small Sided Football

Preseason training starts now for U9 and up (U8 & up for girls). Training times will change during March and then again in April. The reason for the frequent change is that we don’t control the grounds – as grounds become available training times change. Once the grounds are returned to us in April training times are fixed for the winter season. Training times are likely to be very similar to season 2012 (subject to coach availablitiy of those times).

U8 to U11 Boys & Girls – please see the section headed “Small Sided Football” and click the “training” drop down menu.

U12 to U18 Boys & Girls – please see the section headed “Juniors” and click the “training” drop down menu.

U5 to U7 & Spiderlings – your season starts in April (see the section headed “Saturday SSG ’13)

Players registered for season 2013 will also receive email notification of training changes (make sure you check your junk mail too!)
