After working in partnership with the Nillumbik council and State Government, the Club is delighted to announce that the community engagement phase of the redevelopment of our clubrooms has commenced.

The Committee encourages all members to learn more about the project and view some concept designs by clicking here which will navigate directly to the Nillumbik Council website.

Nillumbik Council will be consulting with the community over a three week period from October 24 with submissions closing Thursday 7th November. This will include the distribution of brochures to all nearby residents across a 500m catchment. In addition the Council will promote the project via the usual online sources including Council’s website, Facebook, Reserve signage, and circulars to a number of stakeholders. They will host a drop-in consultation session at the Reserve which includes a free community BBQ on Friday 4 November from 4.30-7.30pm.

The Club asks that all members reinforce the need for the redeployment of our clubrooms by responding favourably to the online submission. The Committee needs your help by having one collective voice so please take to 5 minutes in completing the submission.

After receiving all submissions, Council officers will report the community feedback to Council’s Policy and Services meeting on 6 December where submitters will be invited to speak. Council expects that the endorsement of final concept plans will be ready for the 20 December Council meeting.

This is an extremely important component in moving the project ahead, so your feedback will be critical in shaping the project.
