Trials and Registration Details Released

With the end of the year approaching and the beginning of a new season only weeks beyond that, the club is now able to announce the trial and registration details for 2018. All players and parents, be they new or returning, are encouraged to make note of the details that apply to them.

 

Trials

Trials for all teams above U8s are a necessary part of our preseason as they help us sort over 600 players into teams for the new season. This ensures each and every player is playing with a squad that is most appropriate for their level of experience and ability. We cannot take players at our club who have not trialed with us.

Those wishing to play for our Men’s or Women’s Senior teams are requested to email secretary@elthamredbacksfc.wpmudev.host to arrange a trial. If you have already emailed the club, please do so again as we have not held your details.

 

Preseason Training

Preseason training for successful players will commence in the week following trials. Training schedules will be published when teams are finalised. These times will remain fluid until the start of the season proper. Practice matches will be a part of preseason and will generally take place on weekends.

 

Registration

Registration and payment of fees for all ERFC players will commence in mid January. As always this will take place via the FFA’s online registration portal MyFootballClub.

For a number of years running, all of our age groups have been oversubscribed and some players have unfortunately been turned away. Registering and paying fees early can help avoid the disappointment of missing out on a place.

Registration and payment of fees is a mandatory requirement for all players wishing to begin preseason with our club as we enforce a strict No Pay, No Play policy. This ensures all players are protected by insurance. Note that due to the administrative burden they cause our volunteer committee members, payment plans will no longer be possible. Please plan ahead now to avoid disappointment.

 

Fees

The committee has not yet confirmed the fees for Season 2018. We hope to publish them on our website and communicate them via email in early January. As always we make every effort to mimimise the cost of playing football whilst continuing to offer a program that befits the Redbacks’ name. Fees are still ‘all-inclusive’ and the compulsory $20 building levy remains in place.
