Eltham Redbacks FC JBNPL 2020
Eltham Redbacks usher in a new era of football in 2020 with the commencement of the Junior Boys National Premier League (JBNPL). Accompanying this exciting new football chapter in our club’s history we are pleased to announce a fantastic addition to our club in the form of our new JBNPL Technical Director.
JBNPL Technical Director
Please welcome to our club Javier Alejandro Alvarez Romero, who comes to us with experience as a Technical Director for MiniRoos and numerous NPL team coaching roles at both Bulleen Lions and Northcote City Football Clubs, as well playing experience in his native Colombia up to professional level. When not on the pitch Javier continues to extend his football knowledge through his study as a PhD Student to add to his Master’s Degree in Physiology, a Bachelor of Sports & Exercise Science Honours and a Bachelor in Physical Education teaching. We look forward to Javier’s direction of our JBNPL program this year.
JBNPL Trial Details
Players wishing to trial for Eltham Redbacks FC U13, U14, U15 and U16 Boys NPL teams are asked to register their interests through the following form link:
NOTE: Current Eltham Redbacks players are all invited to trial, so not required to register their interest – but encouraged to do so,
Selection process
Trialists will be assessed for their technical skills and game awareness by the Technical Director and coaches throughout the sessions as they undertake skill exercises, small sided games and full or half pitch games.
Trials will be conducted over two sessions, with selected trialists invited to a final third session

Location: Main Pitch, Cedar Ave, Eltham North

U13 Boys 1-2pm
U14 Boys 2-3pm
U15 Boys 3-4pm
U16 Boys 4-5pm
Session 2: Sunday 20th Oct 2019
Location: Main Pitch, Cedar Ave, Eltham North

Final session (By invitation only): Monday 28th Oct 2019

Communication to trialists
On completion of the first two trial sessions players will be advised by email within 2 days that they have either been:
- Unsuccessful this year.
- Invited to attend a third session to finalise team selections.
